New Delhi: Since we are going through tough days. So, the civil aviation ministry said while releasing SOPs for flying in the time of coronavirus, About one-third of operations will only be allowed when domestic flights resume on Monday (25th May 2020).
The ministry has also said that vulnerable persons, including pregnant women, ill persons, the elderly,  and passengers with health issues should avoid air travel in order to maintain the safety security for other passengers.

Here are the new rules which are declared by the Civil Aviation Ministry, you can go through them:
Rules From Home To Airport
  • Only web-check in allowed, get baggage tag online too, no such activity will be done at the airport
  • The face mask is must for each Passenger
  • Report to the airport 2 hours before your flight schedule time
  • Only one check-in bag per Passenger is allowed; baggage tag to be printed online and should be attached to luggage
  • Passengers from containment zones are strictly not allowed to travel
  • All the Passengers are requested to use Aarogya Setu app or self-declaration form with contact information
  • Most important, maintain social distancing at all places, follow markers and signs for this, and follow all the rules for your own safety.

Rules At The Airport (Entry, Security Check And Boarding)

  • All Passengers must have a mask on, it is compulsory. Fine also may be charged against rule-breakers.
  • Passenger must go through the thermal screening before getting in
  • The Baggage receipt upon drop off at the counter will get confirmed via sending an SMS to Passenger's mobile phone.
  • Baggage must be dropped off at least one hour before your flight schedule.
  • Security Staff Must have minimum physical contact with Passengers
  • All the passengers must show the status of Aarogya Setu to the staff. And If they don't have Aarogya Setu, they have to download it right there. Children below 14 no need to have the Application.
  • The square, circles, or tensor barrier are placed everywhere to ensure physical distancing, Kindly follow them.
  • Chairs that are marked 'Not For Use' should not be occupied by anyone.
  • Passengers are requested to collect safety kit at the airport, mask, face shield, sanitizers, etc near the boarding gate.
  • Passengers have to scan in their boarding pass near the gate, show an ID card to security staff.

Rules To Follow On Flights
  • No meals to be served in the aircraft, passengers also cannot bring their own food in flight. Water bottles will be placed right there on your seats.
  • Passengers have to board in aircraft in a sequential manner one by one
  • No books/magazines and newspaper are allowed on board for security reasons
  • Passengers are advised to make minimal use of the lavatory
  • Upon arrival, all Passengers have to wait with maintaining social distancing for their baggage to arrive
  • No queuing will allowed on planes for bathrooms, only one companion with children and elderly can proceed

Rules To Follow From Airport to destination

  • Follow all the instructions listed above and don’t rush to exit the gate, make proper coordination, and help the nation.
  • Social distancing/sanitation everything should be maintained at the arrival gate also
  • Everyone has to wait near the baggage hold area until your luggage arrives

How To Exit  The Airport

  • Kindly use the authorized taxi in order to maintain the prescribed hygiene protocols
  • Follow social distancing in all the ways and hygiene while traveling back to your destination.
Though, the Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, have not mentioned on Tuesday from when international passenger flights will resume. But if you are planning to travel within India, you strictly have to follow all listed Guidelines to make your travel complete.

Specific Rules For international Arrivals
  • According to the government guidelines, Boarding to give passengers an undertaking that they will undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days
  • 7-day isolation at home quarantine with self-monitoring must be followed.
  • Thermal screening for all passengers will be performed on arrival
  • These passengers will remain in institutional quarantine for a minimum of 7 days and will be tested. If found positive, they will be evaluated clinically
  • If mild, they will be allowed for home isolation. People with moderate or severe symptoms will be admitted to dedicated Covid-19 facilities
